University of Georgia Students to Host Poinsettia Sale



Get your home ready for the holidays while supporting UGA horticulture! Students in Pi Alpha Xi Tau, the University of Georgia chapter of the national honor society for horticulture will host their annual poinsettia sale from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m on on Saturday, December 8 at the Riverbend greenhouse complex in Athens, Ga.


The funds raised from the sale will help future PAX members learn professionalism in the field, and will help the organization purchase supplies like cuttings, soil, pots, and other materials, and go on an annual trip to explore gardens of the southeast.


The poinsettias were grown by PAX and come in several colors including new varieties from international breeders.The plants will be available in four, six, eight, and 10 inch containers with optional foil wrapping, with prices ranging from $4 to $15. The sale is first come first serve, so be sure to get there early for the best selection of colors and sizes!
