About Us
Who are we?
We are University of Georgia students who share a love of horticulture. Pi Alpha Xi is comprised of juniors and seniors with a major or minor in horticulture, and have demonstrated a passion for the field. Each semester, we select new members, hold an initiation banquet, and hold elections for our new leadership committee. In the fall, we hold a poinsettia sale.
Our officers for the 2018-2019 school year are:
Kimberly Cooper, President
Skyler Keenery, Vice President
Alex Camelli, Treasurer
Christina Conner, Secretary

Nomination Eligibility
Every year, the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) evaluates junior or senior horticulture majors and minors who have shown exemplary performance in horticulture. Then, PAX peer reviews the selected students and decides which to invite to join the society.
Those selected are then invited to an initiation ceremony and asked to pay a one-time fee of $40. The eligibility requirements are:
-
Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year.
-
Graduate students or faculty with an emphasis in horticulture.
-
Academic integrity.
-
A minimum 3.0 GPA.
-
Students must show promise for continued activity and commitment to the field of horticulture.
